December 2007

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family.

This has been a year of change for the enots. It started out with Christy's sister Katie getting married to Jared Yates and them moving to Florida. Everyone except Emilie had a part in the ceremony. It was a glorious day for all.

On April 16th our fourth daughter Natasha was born. For a few hours we thought she might actually come on the 15th. If she had been born on “tax” day we had another name for her that would have left her with the initials I.R.S. But, she had other plans and waited a few hours before she proudly entered this world.

In May Nathan was a groomsmen for David and Sarah Rees's wedding in Orlando. Christy, Katie and a few friends made some fun memories decorating the wedding cake in a hotel room without all the normal tools used to accomplish such a feat. MacGyver would have been proud, they put the ice bucket, coffee stirrers, hair dryers and many other very untraditional items to good use. The end result was spectacular, and the memories priceless.

The biggest news of the year is our move from Illinois to Oregon. The Lord provided a job for Nathan in Eugene, Oregon working for a small IT consulting company. He really enjoys the work and it has been a perfect match for his skills and interests. Currently we are living in his parents' house while they live in his grandparents' condo. The kids are enjoying living in the country with dogs, cats, chickens, a horse and a mule. In the spring we will be moving to a place of our own in the Eugene/Springfield area.

The Lord led us to a church home in Springfield, Oregon that we are thoroughly enjoying. We are excited about what the Lord is doing there and look forward to getting to know the people better.

The best way to keep up with our family, address and phone number throughout the year is to visit our website.

Here are some of the fun things that our kids said this year-

When someone asked Abianne what date her birthday was and she couldn't remember she said, "sometimes I lose my mind."

Aubrie telling Daddy and Mommy what she saw at the fair when she was with Nana and Papa. "We saw a ghost going poo-poo!" (That would be a goat.)

While playing Hide and Seek with their aunt Shelly -
Aubrie: "Let's close our eyes so Shelly can't see us."
Abianne: "That's silly, she will still be able to see our clothes.”

With Love,

Nathan, Christy, Abianne (5), Aubrie (4), Emilie (2) and Natasha (8 Months)
