Emilie Grace
Emilie arrived yesterday morning (7-27-05) at 12:27 am. The labor was very short. Contractions started kicking in around 9:30 pm. God had his blessing on us and everything went very smoothly. My mom got to catch the baby and she was thrilled about that. We are all doing very well and recovery is coming along quickly. Emilie weighed 8 lb 10 oz and is 21" long. She has the cutest chubby cheeks and looks a lot like Aubrie and Abianne did when they were newborn.
The girls love their sister. Abianne is such a little mommy. She calls her "my baby" and likes to tell all of us how to take care of Emilie. Yesterday she covered me up while I was laying in bed and told me to go to sleep, be quiet and don't cry. I guess she will learn eventually that I am still the mom. This afternoon when Emilie was crying Abianne asked me to go up and check on the baby please. She is so cute to watch, she covers her up and then uncovers her, reads her books, strokes her head and wants to hold her all the time. Aubrie is pretty fascinated too and loves to hold her but she gets distracted quickly and goes to do something else.
